Here's To My First Step

My resolution this year is to simply be healthier. Cut out a lot of processed foods and sugar; eat more good fats and vegetables. One day I looked in the mirror and saw somethings that I did not like. I didn’t body shame myself though. I am amazed at my body and what I’ve put it through. But I realized how I haven’t taken care of it. After all, your soul only lives in one body in this lifetime. So why not make it the best version of your soul. Let it show the beauty that’s on the inside, outside.

So I started this challenge. To eat better, learn about portions, meal plans, and how to take care of my body. It’s called the Fit Girls Guide. #28DayJumpStart. One my friends actually tagged me in one of their Instagram post and said we should try it. So, I made the decision to finish the program and give it all that I’ve got.  The book includes the meal plan, exercises and it shifts your mindset about being healthier. I love that they say “don’t worry, no is perfect and people slip up. It’s okay, but move forward”. I’ve done some other programs and they were so harsh about everything that it just demotivated me. But I’ve never felt so empowered, beautiful and motivated.

I made a new Instagram account (@fitgirl_sassysamey) just to document my journey. It’ll be very detailed, just so you know. I’ll list my thoughts, likes, dislikes, new discoveries and most important the process to achieving my ultimate fit girl body.
