Hask Hair Review and Giveaway!!!

By Sassysamey - 10:58 AM

In the month of April, I got to try out several different hair care products. I feel like I go through these phases where I buy a ton of different shampoos, conditioners and try them out. I love my regular hair care routine but it’s all about experimenting and finding what works best for you and your hair type. And you will never know what awesome products you can come across when you are browsing for new items to add in your beauty routine.

My hair type: I have VERY thick, LONG and wavy hair. Super frizzy, oily and sometimes can look like Donny from “The Wild Thornberry’s”, if you get that reference then you and I have just become best friends. Haha! My hair is manageable and slightly damaged from dying and frying… curling and straightening. My summer goal is to use less heat on my hair and just letting it “run free”. Which means you will be seeing a ton of different heat less hair styles this summer.
Since I am a Teen Vogue “It Girl” they sent this set (pictured below) to me to try out. I’ve been testing for the past couple of weeks, it’s funny because I've never heard of this brand and when I went to my local Walmart and saw the complete line on their shelves. And I decided to buy everything that I received and do a giveaway here on my blog and on Instagram. How you can enter will be posted below.

DISCLAIMER: I was sent this product but I am not being paid to talk about these or anything. I just wanted to share my experience with this new brand, just in case you were interested in picking these up.

Items pictured: Prices from Ulta (you could have them cheaper at Walmart or target)
1.      Argan Oil from Morocco “Repairing Shampoo” $5.99
2.      Argan Oil from Morocco “Repairing Conditioner” $5.99
3.      Argan Oil from Morocco “Intense Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment” $2.99
4.      Argan Oil from Morocco “Healing Shine Hair Treatment” $2.99
5.      Controlled Curls Hair Defining Spray $6.99
6.      Revive And Refresh: Freshens and Reduced Static $6.99

The Repairing Shampoo and conditioner: I absolutely love the scent of this line; it smells like an orange crème Popsicle. It reminded me of my childhood, when I used to buy those L’Oréal fish bottle shampoos that smells like candy or Popsicle. When buying a new set of shampoo and conditioner I always smell it first. I am VERY sensitive and picky with scents. I liked the way that it lathered and it made my scalp feel clean. The scent lasted majority of the day, which was probably why my boyfriend kept telling me to quit smelling my hair. Haha!  After letting it air dry, my hair felt lightweight and clean. This shampoo didn't leave me with flakes, that’s another thing I look for when testing out new shampoos, if it give me flakes. My hair felt so bouncy throughout the day and it didn't make the end of my hair feel brittle. I want to try it out some more and see if there is a BIG difference in my hair overall. But so far I like and I give it a 4 out of 5.

The Healing Shine Hair Treatment: On the day that I felt like my hair needed a little more help, I added a dime size amount of this to my wet hair and let it soak overnight. Waking up, my natural Lions mane was everywhere, but it felt soft and it wasn't much of a hassle as it usually is when I go to brush it in the morning. It didn’t make my hair feel oily, like some other “oil treatments” that leaves your hair looking like you just dipped in the pool. After not washing my hair the next day, it still wasn't super oily, which I thought was amazing considering I have an oily scalp.  And throughout the day I kept feeling it and everyone at work kept saying how soft my hair looked and how they wanted to touch it. -__-. That should be a disclaimer, “hair so soft and bouncy, strangers will try to touch it” haha. But I love it so far.

Revive And Refresh: Freshens and Reduced Static: I think this was the product that I was most excited to use. Since I don’t wash my hair every day and I have an oily scalp, I have to use a dry shampoo or else it will look like a hot mess, literally, like I have been sweating all day and I need a shower!  But I took like 5 minutes to open this container -_-. But I figured it out. It didn't make my hair feel stiff and it smells nice and refreshing. I’m still testing it out so I’ll check back in about two weeks and tell you in a “love it or leave it”.

I haven’t tried the deep conditioner or the Controlled Curl hair defining spray, so I’ll give you an update on how I like/don’t like those. I hope that you have a wonderful day!

Happy Friday!
